Abstract:

Risk assessment and analysis in this industry is a new approach to improve the performance ofmachinery. In this research, a case study on the application of the fault tree analysis (FTA)method to design an effective program of maintenance for a waste heat recovery power factoryis presented. The occurrence probability of failure in the oil producing unit (and turbinegenerator) in the cement factory of India has been investigated. The results of the analysis inthe period of ۲۰۰ hours show that the probability of failure for the whole system is higher than۹۴% and the pressure sensor subsystem has the most likely probability of failure. Finally, asuitable maintenance plan is presented for controlling and preventing the occurrence of failure.
