Secure Data Hiding In Sound Streams abstract
Data hiding is to conceal the secret information, behind an unquestionable layer such as video, image, sound or even a text. Most of time-based data hiding methods convey their security from complexity in embedding data bits arrangement. However, publishing the hiding algorithm is equal to release the data in public. On the other hand, encryption is a mapping from the information to the cipher space to provide the security to the systems, while it is not generally sufficient by itself. We have used a joint data hiding and encryption algorithm to improve the security of the whole system. Beside the encryption, we have implemented a coding algorithm to compress the embedding data. This paper focuses on the sound data as the host or fold. In addition to conventional Bit Error Rate (BER) measurement, we have used the Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) to compare two sequences and expressed our results based on the both criteria. The simulation results show that DTW is more powerful criterion than the BER.
