Prediction of marital conflicts based on family functioning based on the McMaster model in families involved in addiction abstract
In today's society, we face a high rate of marital conflicts, so it seems necessary to predictfactors that can help counselors and psychologists as well as families to reduce it. Thepurpose of this study was to predict marital conflicts based on family functioning basedon McMaster's model in families involved in addiction, and 278 couples in conflict andinvolved in addiction in Shiraz city were randomly selected. The participants completedthe questionnaires of marital conflicts. Pearson's correlation coefficient and regressionmethod were used to analyze the findings. The obtained results showed that there is asignificant relationship between subscales of family functioning and marital conflicts(P<0.05).
