Abstract:
Polymerization of methyl methacrylate was investigated with a catalytic system (a dinuclear cobalt (II) catalyst based on phenoxyimine ligand [(۱,۴ phenylenebis(azaneylylidene)) bis(۱-benzylinolin-۲-one)] with ۱,۴-phenylenediamine bridge). Methylaluminoxane (MMAO) was used as a co-catalyst with a molar ratio of [Al]/[Co]=۱۰۰۰:۱. Effect of temperature (۲۹±۱ up to ۶۰±۱ °C) and polymerization time (۲ up to ۲۴ h) on the polymerization behavior were studied. The highest activity was obtained at ۴۰±۱°C at the early polymerization time (۶۶.۸۷ g PMMA/mmol Co. h).
