Abstract:
In this study, the nonlinear refractive index of glucose dissolved in water as a monosaccharide solution wasdetermined using the Z-scan technique. Monosaccharides are usually optically active due to the presence ofcarbon [۱].This research has been repeated for three concentrations of this substance and for each concentration threetimes to reduce the measurement error to a considerable extent.Experiments have been conducted using a helium-neon laser with a wavelength of ۶۳۳ nm and a power of ۱۷mW, and it was shown that the nonlinear refractive index increases with increasing glucose concentration
