Abstract:

Hydrogels are three-dimensional hydrated polymer networks with transverse connections. They are formed bycross-linked hydrophilic polymers with a high affinity for water and biological fluids and can absorb ten percentto thousands of times their dry weight of water. Hydrogels can be chemically or chemically cross-linked. Due toits good mechanical strength, the chemical type is considered more. There are two types of hydrogels, syntheticand natural, and the natural type is considered more important than synthetic hydrogels due to its different characteristics, high cost, non-toxicity, unacceptable acceptability, and biocompatibility. Hydrogels are used in industriessuch as packaging, agriculture, biomedicine, and pharmaceuticals, as absorbents to remove pollutants, etc.
