The Role of Smart City on Economic Development: Smart Transportation

Cities have been created to meet human needs and have always progressed throughout history. Currently, the majority of the world's population lives in cities, and it is predicted that the rate of urbanization will continue to grow. For cities to be most productive and create the necessary infrastructure for the economy, they must evolve with the help of technologies and innovations. Over time, many developed cities have been able to become smart cities with the help of computer science and artificial intelligence. A smart city has six dimensions including smart economy, smart mobility, smart people, smart living, smart governance, and smart environment. Smart mobility itself includes smart transportation, which plays a significant role in economic development. One of the effective factors in smart transportation, followed by economic development and city development, is the use of smart vehicles. With the use of smart vehicles, infrastructures, and cities improve, and these factors make the conditions for economic development possible.
