Abstract:

Artificial intelligence (AI) can bring both opportunities and challenges to human resource management (HRM).As the results show, between ۲۰۱۱ and ۲۰۲۱, the Sustainability journal has published most of the empiricalpapers in this area, while the last three years (۲۰۱۹–۲۰۲۱) experienced a significant surge of publications on thetopic(Omidi & Dal Zotto, ۲۰۲۲).But the lack of a literature review dealing with up-to-date (from ۲۰۱۵ onwards) articles in this field is evident inproviding a comprehensive scientific review of this body of research. We provide a useful literature review forfuture research by embedding our discussion within HR literature.The present paper addresses this shortcoming by reviewing scholarly articles published in this research domain.Such a review is needed to: (a) guide future research on the effects of AI on HRM; (b) help managers makeproper use of AI technology to improve workplace and organizational outcomes.This is a review to explore the relationship between artificial intelligence and human resources managementoutcomes.
