Abstract:
Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) is a novel material that has gained significant attention from builders in the construction industry due to its unique properties, such as being lightweight, having excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, and high fire resistance. In this study, the role of raw materials in the production process and quality of AAC was investigated. To accurately examine the raw materials, they were studied separately, and their impact on the three stages of mineral raw materials processing, preheating, and autoclave treatment was evaluated. It was found that the purity of silica and lime plays a crucial role in determining the quality of AAC, as it is directly affected by the amount of bubble formation and the mechanical properties of the final product. Therefore, it is essential for high-quality raw materials to be carefully selected to ensure optimal performance of the final product. The significance of raw materials in the production of AAC is highlighted in this study
