Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to propose and test a motivational model of creativity.The model posits social agents such as parents factors influence children's perceptionof self-determination.The less autonomy supportive the social agent's behaviors are.The less positive are children's perception of autonomy. In turn, the less positivechildrens's perception are, the lower their levels of self-determined .Finally, lowlevels self-determined motivation lead to low creativity . educational father andsocioeconomic status are factors in effect self-determination. This model was testedwith elementary school students. Results from analyses with pathanalysis were foundto support the model for all participants.
