Abstract:
In this paper, fin efficiency of convective straight fins with temperaturedependent thermal conductivity is investigated via a simple and effectivemethod called Akbari-Ganji’s Method (AGM) and results have beencompared with numerical solutions. AGM is a simple and innovativeapproach and can be applied for many linear and nonlinear problems. Byusing AGM, the fin efficiency will obtain easily in different cases. Theresults reveal that Akbari-Ganji’s Method (AGM) can achieve suitableresults in predicting the solution of such problems. In this problem, theeffect of thermal parameters such as thermo-geometric fin parameter andthermal conductivity are investigated and the amount of its effect has beenestimated. As a main outcome, when thermo-geometric fin parameterincreases, while thermal conductivity is constant, the dimensionlesstemperature decreases
