Short Term Performance Evaluation of Different PV Technologies in Tehran Climate Condition

In this paper a short term evaluation on the performance of different Photovoltaic (PV) plants in the city of Tehran is presented. The comparisons are made consideringvarious levels of irradiance and air temperature. Three PV technologies are compared in terms of their energy yield.Moreover, a comparison of the same technology but fromdifferent PV brands is provided. Finally, since Tehran suffers from air pollution, especially during winter, a study of air pollution effect on the PV energy yield is presented.
