Dry Port Location Selection Problem based on the Sustainbility and Resilience Dimensions abstract
This study focuses on a crucial problem in today’s global and competitive business environment named the dry port location selection problem. In this regard, the literature shows that the simultaneous consideration of the sustainability and resilience concepts in the mentioned problem has been ignored by the previous studies. Hence, to bridge the mentioned gaps, the current article develops a hybrid decision-making approach based on the Best-Worst Method (BWM) and the Normalized Weighted Sum (NWS) approach to select the most desirable location for establishing the dry port. In this regard, at the outset, the relevant indicators and feasible alternatives are determined based on the literature and experts. Then, the importance of the indicators is measured using the BWM. In the next step, the potential alternatives are ranked using the NWM method. The results demonstrate that alternatives #A4 and #A3 are the best locations to establish the dry port. Finally, the managerial insights and outlooks have been provided
