Examining self-care training, psychological symptoms and efficacy in psychiatric patients discharged from hospital abstract

Based on the fact that about half of the cases hospitalized in the psychiatric divisions are rehospitalizations,a decrease in these cases will be an effective action to reduce the costs caused by psychiatric inpatientservices. In this way, outpatient visits that impose a little cost on the system are replaced with arehospitalized case. The current study was done with such an approach, aims to investigate the priorresearch and describe the rehospitalization pattern for the patients. With following-up accurately theamount of the patient rehospitalization by doing outpatient visits within short distances as well as utilizingmore from the support of patients' families, especially those who suffer from mood and psychotic disorders,a significant decrease can be observed in the rehospitalized cases of patients with psychiatric disorders andcost reduction due to it.
