Effect of using sodium hexametaphosphate (NaPO3) in fluid mud model in gravity current experiments abstract
Gravity flow occurs in water environments for various reasons. The flow of fluid mud is an important type of gravity flow in nature and can be caused by floods, construction operations, and other factors. The method of preparing the fluid mud in the laboratory has a great impact on the results of the experiments and our understanding of this phenomenon. Due to the rheological similarity of kaolinite with natural mud, it is common to use it in fluid mud tests. This laboratory study shows that the effect of using sodium hexametaphosphate on the results of fluid mud tests depends on the test duration.
