Comparative Study of Four Objective Functions for Bridge Damage Detection Using PSO Algorithm: Case of Two Bridges abstract

Structural health monitoring plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and longevity of bridges. In this study, the effectiveness of four prominent objective functions in detecting structural damage using the Particle Swarm Optimizer (PSO) algorithm was investigated and compared. Two bridges of varying complexity serve as case studies, and their structural health is assessed through simulated damage scenarios.
