Abstract:
Working capital management plays a significant role in better performance of manufacturing firms. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of working Capital Management on firms’ performance for non-financial firms listed in Tehran Stock Exchange. For this purpose, balanced panel data of 112 manufacturing firms is used which are listed on Tehran Stock Exchange. Data were collected from annual reports of the sampled firms for the period 2007-2011. The findings show that working capital management has significant impact on firms’ performance. The results suggest that managers should avoid negative effects on firm performance because of lost sales and lost discounts for early payments or additional financing expenses
