Abstract:

In this study convective heat transfer with temperature dependent viscosity is analyzed. Thesurvey is conducted in a horizontal pipe under magnetic field. It is assumed that the pipe wall ismaintained in constant temperature and magnetic field distribution is increased linearly in theaxial direction. Carrier fluid can response to magnetic field similar to ferrofluids. Numericalresults are obtained by CFD techniques. Finally it is found that magnetic field can highly reducepressure loss to help pump to work under lower load and better thermal conductivity offerrofluids improve convective heat transfer in developing region.
