Abstract:

Nanofluid is prepared using nanoparticles suspended into a base fluid. The higher thermal conductivity as well as heat transfer coefficients encourages researchers to pay attention to the preparation and characteristics of different kinds nanofluids. One of the serious problems encountered in preparation of nanofluid is referred to agglomeration of the particles which results in unstable solution. In this paper after theoretical explanation of suspension, dispersion and dispersion forces, the various methods employed by researchers to makes stable nanofluids are introduced and the advantages and disadvantages of these methods are discussed.
