Numerical analysis using RNG - model were performed to determine average heat transfer coefficient and friction factors for turbulent flow
through annular heat exchangers with longitudinal rectangular fins. In addition the heat exchanger effectiveness was determined by changing the
number of the fins attached to channel. The effect of three different fin angles on the performance of the heat exchanger was analyzed. The working fluids were air as hot gas and water as cold fluid. The pumping powers produced in the water channel were determined under the variation of the water channel radius. The results are presented in the dimensionless forms. An experimental case has been used for code assessment. All fluid properties are considered temperature dependent
