Future Construction and Sustainable Cities

Construction and architectural design are two inseparable factors due to history, which goes forward side by side. While the effective factors on each of them is different. On one hand all generations in architecture field had imagined about future city and construction, according to level of knowledge and technology in their current time.After modernism when technological growth was not under control of human and every time they were facing new method and material for the construction, building design and architect's imagination started to change a lot. On the other hand, building design and construction techniques have direct effect on each other. Lifestyle and human expectation in a mean time changed the way of design and construction technology made it possible, but we cannot illuminate the role of construction styles and progress on architect’s opportunities ideas to have not an ordinary design like before.Today’s world topic after the oil crisis in 1973 with the slogan of Use minimum amount of energy to provide needed services and have clean and healthy environment is continuing. As far as growth of technology is unstoppable issue, there has to be a way to combine the new way of building construction and building design in the future. It is clear future design and construction will take place under sustainability heading. Thus, it gives the chance to call future construction and architectural design as a sustainable design with the energy efficient construction .In this article authors tried to have a clear perspective of passing generations and their imagination about future cities and find out the percentage of these guesses which happened in the real world and illustrate even the smallest point of future cities and building construction from current evidences, available research, human psychology and needs change, and so on
