Abstract:

Nanocomposite particles of Polypyrrole/Poly(vinylacetate) (PPy/PVAc) was successfully synthesized in water/methanol solution by polymerization of pyrrole and vinylacetate by using ferric chloride and ammonium persulfate as an oxidant. These nanocomposites were subsequentlycharacterized such as morphology, chemical structure and electrical properties by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and four point probe method, respectively. The results indicated that PPy/PVAc nanocomposite can be prepared usingferric chloride and ammonium persulfate as an oxidant in water/methanol solution at room temperature
