The study of the adoption rate of Internet banking in rural communities based on the theory of reasoned action and theory of planned behavior

In recent years the understanding of the acceptance or rejection of computer systems such as internet banking has become the most important and the most challenging issues in research on information systems. According to the importance of internet banking, the present study aims to evaluate the acceptability of internet banking in rural communities and was done based on the theory of reasoned action and the theory of planned behavior. Results of statistical analysis using t-test survey and structural equation modeling showed that the components of behavioral intention, attitude, subjective norm, attitudinal belief structure and normative belief structure are formed in the adoption of Internet banking based on theory of reasoned action and theory of planned behavior in rural communities, but the components of behavioral control were perceived and control belief structures were not. Furthermore, both the theory of reasoned action and the theory of planned behavior have the ability to explain and predict the adoption of Internet banking in the rural communities while discursive practice theory have more benefittings and abilities.
