Rational Inefficiency: theory and application

This article speaks about the notion of rational inefficiency in efficiency literature. It is discussed that inefficiency may be indirect on-the-job compensation to agents in an organization. Different sources of inefficiency are discussed with a focus of rational inefficiency, its causes and its effects on productivity analysis of organizations
