Abstract:

Calendula officinalis Linn. (Asteraceae) a medicinal plant, is used in traditional medicine around the world and is the subject of several chemical and pharmacological studies. Flavonoids, Carotenoids and pholyphenols are the active ingredient contents reported previously for C. officinalis flowers. marigold is cultivated for its flower with receptacle orflowers without receptacle which are used as the medicinal raw material. In this experimentinvestigated the effect of Nano-Zinc chelate (0, 0.75, 1.5, 2.5, 3mg/l) on the vegetative characteristic (plant height, number of branches, length root, fresh and dry weight root andpercentage dry matter root) and flowering characteristic (number of flower, fresh and dry weight flower and percentage dry matter flower) of Calendula officinalis. Results of showed that application of Zinc had been significant of growth vegetative and floweringcharacteristic at transplant seedling stage. To considering of important role Zinc and application C. officinalis as raw material for industrial and medicinal, the use of Zinc can have a positive effect on plant growth.
