Nuclear Fatwa, Legal Status and its Credibility

The nuclear Fatwa that was issued by Iran's Supreme Leader, established a new chapter in the circles of international law and generally among the international research centers; Firstly, because of being consistent with the ultimate goal of which is to maintain international peace and security, secondly because of being a severe religious edict and being binding for throngs of Muslims, and finally, because of its legal status as an inflexible rule for Iranian authorities. The increasing and universal acceptance of nuclear Fatwa by the international and governmental officials, on the one hand, and theorizations of the international scholars in this specific issue on the other, persuaded me to present acomprehensive research in this ground. The importance of recognition and determination of several aspects of this fatwa would be more remarkable for us when we notice that this Fatwa is proscribing of usage, production and stockpiling the weapon that is the biggest threat against peace and international security under the international law.
