Abstract:

To study the effect of growth stimulants foliar application on yield and yield components of maize varieties (Ksc 260), a test was performed to form split plots in a randomized complete blocks design with three replications in year 2012 in the Youzbashkandy village located in the Miandoab. Traits studied were: plant height, ear height, stem diameter and 1000 seed weight, plant height, number of seeds per ear, seed yield, oil percentage, protein percentage, nitrogen percentage and chlorophyll percentage. The main factor (A) include the number of foliar spraying that were performed at two levels (two and three times sprayings) and subsidiary factor (B) include growth stimulants, which was performed in seven levels with growth stimulants (Folammina, Rizammina, HB- 101, Stimurel, humic acid, Force, and a control treatment without fertilizer). The results of the statistical analysis of the data showed that spraying with growth stimulants had statistically significant effect on most of the studied traits. Three times spraying with growth stimulants in various time stages (8- leaf stage, male inflorescences emergence and milky stage) showed more favorable results than the two times spraying (8- leaf stage, male inflorescence emergence). Most of the traits that was related to maize yield, the highest value had by spraying with Folammina. And in the case of quality traits studied, the highest value was related to spraying with Rizammina growth stimulant. Based on the obtained results, if the purpose of planting maize is to obtain the highest forage yield and protein, respectively, Rizammina and Folammina treatments are recommended in three times spraying (8-leaf stage, male inflorescences emergence and milky stage). The use of Rizammina treatment by three times spraying would be the best option in stages of growth the 8-leaf, emergence of the male inflorescences and milky, if the purpose of planting maize is to achieve the highest oil and grain yield.
