Comparing the Basic methods of produced water treatment; Case study Kharg Island, Persian Gulf

In this research various basic treatment methods of produce water are discussed and compared to each other to choose the most proper one to utilize in Kharg Island. The four suggested basic treatment methods are , hydro cyclone, membrane filtration and settling. To compare the treatment methods a multi criteria decision method namely Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied. The criteria are suggested according to the local conditions of Kharg Island and the similar characteristics of the methods. Many researches are studied to gather the initial data for expert’s judgments. At end, due to the AHP model and pairewise comparison membrane filtration is selected as the most proper basic treatment of produced water
