Analysis of well test data by Deconvolution method abstract
Deconvolution transforms variable rate pressure data into a constant rate initial draw down with duration equal to the total duration of test .This paper has presented for main benefit of Deconvolution that is the increasing of the radius of investigation which allows seeing boundaries and connectivity not visible in individual flow periods. In this work, we have compared the results between convolution and Deconvolution outputs by using Feket F.A.S.T well test software. Deconvolution offers a viable tool for well-test and production data analysis. Example include infinite radial composite which Deconvolution shows second layer properties which couldn’t be able seen in convolution methods and the reservoir is infinite acting and the well is located at mid point. It is hoped that this paper will encourage well test interpreters to use Deconvolution confidently as part of the well test analysis process.
