Enhanced Downlink Interference Alignment Scheme for Achieving Higher Sum-Rate Performance on Cellular Networks abstract

In this investigation, a new idea to generalize the downlink interference alignment scheme for cellular networks is proposed. According to the simulation results, it can be revealed that by using non similar coloring parameters, a sum rate improvement can be achieved. In other word, this improvement in sum rate can be achieved by downlink interference alignment scheme applying iteration and updating vectors. So, new proposed scheme needs lower inter cellular feedback's additional information with respect to previous one. Therefore, proposed scheme offers higher sum rate compared to the previous scheme in the same number of iterations. We also show through simulations that our technique provides respectable gain under a more realistic scenario: it gives approximately 10% gain for a 19 hexagonal wrap-around-cell layout.
