Abstract:
Due to the increasing use of distributed generation resources,researches about technical effects of connecting these types of distributed systems are more and more necessary. In this paper,in a new approach, the effect of photovoltaic distributed generation source on the distribution system voltage profile, in contrast to the effect of wind turbine, will be discussed. First a short circuit is applied to one of the lines of a distributed test system as a transient error. Then photovoltaic source and the wind turbine are added to the distribution system,simulations show the bus voltage curves of some sample buses of the test system,comparing the two-state, absence and presence of distributed generation sources. Finally,it is clear that using the distributed generation,can improve the voltage profile in a large part of the distribution network and also the photovoltaic sources have more capability to improve the voltage profile of distribution systems than the wind turbines.
