Steady State Modeling and Analysis of the Three-Phase Self Excited Induction Generators

In this paper, derivation of an equivalent circuit fora three-phase self excited induction generator is studied. A newmethod to evaluate the steady state performance of themachine is also proposed. It can be simply used to take seriescompensation and core loss effect into account. Among thepriorities of this method are the absence of convergenceproblem and flexibility. Simple methods to find the frequencyand magnetizing reactance have been proposed. Simulationresults show the effectiveness of this method.
