Abstract:

Copolymerization of ethylene and α-olefins has great significance for improving polymer properties. The influence of concentration of 1-hexene in feed on the polymerization performance were investigated. The structure and properties of the copolymers were characterized with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The thermal properties, characterized by DSC, showed decreased degree of crystallinity (Xc) (from 64.54 to 20.29) and the melting temperature (Tm) (from 143 to 133). This is the reason why the interest in LLDPE constantly increases
