Abstract:
A survey of different organizations, firms identifies characteristics associated with above average starting salary offers in allied fields of, management sciences, business and economics. A complementary survey made by the students at IBA_Sukkur-Sindh. Results showed that firms value work experience and leadership experience more then students do, where as student s value raising grade point average and interview preparation more then do firms Local as well as multinational organization. Job market realities are different than the theoretical knowledge. It was revealed that getting 4/4 GPA doesn t mean that their job permance is better than in all cases. In our survey we have examine 5 students who have got 4,0 GPA out of 5 three students have got average salary. There are few cases who have average GPA 3,0-3,4 and they are salaries in 6 digits and their performance is bettwe than their class fellows who got 4/4 GPA. Students seeking seeking a firm s maximum starting salary offers will need to enhance academic performance with substantial work experience and leadership experience and leadership experience.
