A Method for Optimizing Maintenance and QueryingOntology-based Linked Data abstract
At present, emerged technologies such as Resource DescriptionFramework (RDF) are used to describe information in thesemantic web. RDF triples are the basic components of linkeddata, which build the whole structure of the semantic web.Alongside the semantic web development, RDF data are alsogrowing in scope and volume rapidly. As a result, the size of TBoxesand also A-Boxes in linked data-related ontologies isundergoing a great change. The scale of ontology-based linkeddata requires efficient structures for storing and also querying onthese data. This paper proposes a method based on relationaldatabases for storing ontology-based linked data. This methodachieves shorter query response time and more accuracycomparing other known RDF storage methods such as schemaoblivious,schema-aware and hybrid methods. To evaluate theresults, DBpedia infobox ontology and dataset has been used.
