Abstract:

Phrasal verbs (PVs) in collocation with certain nouns makes complicates learning English as a foreign language. A study was carried out to test a procedure called the word fork to help intermediate EFL students overcome this difficulty. From this study, it was determined that the word fork technique can materially improve the subject’s collocational competence, long term retention of the target forms and overall English communication skills
