Examining the relationship between organizational health and schools effectiveness abstract
This research aimed to examine the relationship between organizational health and schools effectiveness. Statistical society of this research constitutes of all secondary schools teachers of Karaj in school year 2013-2014 and sample size is 297 teachers who selected by multistage cluster random sampling. The research method is correlation. For collecting data, two questionnaires (organizational health inventory for secondary schools (OHI-S) of Hoy and Tarter (1997) and schools effectiveness of Morrison (2004)) have been used. Reliability of questionnaires has been determined by experimental performance and Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient 0.84 for organizational health and 0.92 for schools effectiveness. Data analyzing has been done by correlation, regression and T-test methods. The results show that organizational health rate of secondary schools is lower than average. Schools effectiveness rate is average. There is a significant relationship between organizational health with its dimensions and secondary schools effectiveness. Organizational health dimensions predict, totally, 67% of schools effectiveness variance; in addition, organizational health of schools in administrative level predicts further variance than organizational health of schools in technical level.
