A Review of Models of Quality Assessment in Translation

Concern for excellence in literary translation or translation of the Scriptures dates back centuries. Translation quality assessment is of important topics in Translation Studies which has so far been discussed many times. The evaluation of a translation as good or poor is the main concern of Translation Quality Assessment (TQA) approaches. The purpose of this review paper is to discuss different models of TQA for those who are beginning their studies in this field or whose knowledge of Translation Studies is tangential. These methods are based on scientific theories. All these methods express at least one aspect of translation quality assessment.
