Investigation on the Sulfate Reducing Bacteria (SRB) and their adverse impacts on the marine construction of the Persian Gulf (Bandar Abbas region) abstract
Corrosion is detrimental phenomena, which can cause many problem for man and industries. These adverse impacts of corrosion has been observed on the building, bridges, harbor constructions industrial plants and so on.
Microorganisms are found everywhere in nature and these are distributed in water, atmosphere and the soil. one of the most important role of the microorganism in nature could be mentioned as their adverse affects on the corrosion of materials.
Sulfate reducing bacteria 9SRB) is one of the most detrimantal microorganism which cause corrosion of matals, building construction and ..., this bacteria were found thoughout the studying area in the Bandar Abbas region.
The mentioned bacteria could be found as anaerobic from in the saline, fresh and brackish water. These bacteria are able to convert the sulfate and their components in to sulfied and producing H2S.
