The Effect of Peer Coaching on Iranian EFL Teachers’ Attitude Towards Professional Development abstract
The purpose of this study was twofold: (1) to understand Iranian EFL teachers attitude towards professional development (PD) and (2) to see whether peer coaching changes Iranian EFL teachers‟ professional development (PD).To do so, a questionnaire based on the Likert scale containing twenty items was distributed to 100 randomly selectedIranian EFL teachers. By analyzing the data collected from 30 teachers who responded to the questionnaire, it wasfound that Iranian EFL teachers have in general positive attitude toward PD. To delve more deeply into the how and why of peer coaching, two female teachers who were colleagues voluntarily participated in this study and their attitudes toward PD was investigated to see how peer coaching as one of PD activities affected their attitudes
