Abstract:
Despite the use of strategies to control consumption, High energy consumption in new buildings, especially in residential buildings still is facing some problems. On the other hand, because of rising cost of fossil fuels by reducing energy storages, the use of inappropriate materials and executive methods and lack of coordination with principles of ecological design in order to controlling costs and supplying energy for future, world turned to use of new and renewable energy from permanent sources like sun and wind in order to ventilation and controlling heat and cold. Mazandaran s architecture is one of successful examples of vernacular architecture that is mixed with nature so good which you think it s part of the nature. This combining with nature and paying attention to its capabilities and limitations have lead to coordinate between vernacular and sustainable architecture of Mazandaran. As they are very difficult to clean from each other, paying attention to vernacular architecture and introducing the hidden principles of sustainable architecture in it is one of the effective solutions in order to introduce sustainable architecture, therefore, study and design with ecological approach, evaluation architecture in the past, use of nature s forces, designing coordinated patterns with climate by providing a new model with maintaining the past behavioral patterns are useful approaches.In this article, is tried to use results by study and climate investigations and its effects on traditional architecture of Mazandaran, analyzing, identification of natural and synthetic architectural design elements.
