Assessment and Analysis of the Behavior settings of Residential Environments of Shahr-e-Kord New Built Fabric; Case Study: Region 2 of Shahr-e-Kord

Although many efforts for human behavior recognition have accomplished, ecological psychology by presenting behavior settings theory has provided the field of human behavior recognition and perception in the built environment further than other scopes. In this regard, more efforts have happened to define, redefine or to use the behavior setting theory more than past for assessing, analyzing and surveying the built environments. So, significant and distinct study in which Barker et al (1968) surveyed various environments is Midwest study. But in this study, especially the residential environment of Shahr-e-Kord new built fabric, is considered for analyzing and assessing. In this case study the behavior settings of the region 2 of Shahr-e-Kord city has been surveyed, analyzed and assessed by methods such as secret outsider, recognized outsider and marginal participant outsider according to Zeisel (1984) studies, from 2013 to 2014. Recognition and perception of human behavior in the built environments and design knowledge promotion have been the key points that have helped designers in design process of designing various environments. In this regard the analyses and extracted results from this study have written by focusing on extracting results of ecological psychology and promoting designers design knowledge of such environments.
