ULTIMATE LOAD TEST AND DUCTILITY 0F CONSTRUCTED POST-TENSIONED SCC CONTINUOUS SLABS abstract
Test result of constructed post-tensioned self consolidating concrete, SCC continuos slabs used in bridge constructions (L=7500mm, b =1000mm, t=200mm) are presented. The post-tensioned SCC slabs were monitored by fixing different types of sensors at different positions of concrete and steel materials. The concrete and steel strains, deflection and crack widths were measured along the slabs. The posttensioned continuous slabs were then load tested, predominantly in flexure and their behavior, under ultimate load and ductility is reported. The theoretical and experimental results are compared and it was concluded that the performance of the post-tensioned SCC continuous slabs constructed, under ultimate load as well as ductility, is comparable to that of the traditional normal prestressed concrete structures.
