Abstract:
Environmental impacts of construction industry materials have been expressed an increase in attention, production and use of green and sustainable building material. This, combined with a desire to integrate more biodegradable, natural, recycled and renewable resources into the construction industry. Thermal insulation is important in contributing to the energy savings in the building by prevention high energy consumption. Production of thermal insulation materials and the solution of environment problem by recycling of industrial, agriculture, construction and demolition, and municipal solid waste are becoming greater problem. At the same time, noise pollution is getting more attention amongst the construction of building as it is a major impact on human health. There are a lot of amount of municipal, agricultural, industrial and construction and demolition waste that have a good thermal and sound property and yet many of survey was conducted about them. The aim of this paper is to report a state of the use municipal, agricultural, C&D and industrial waste to manufacture of innovative thermal and acoustical insulating building materials. After a brief description of each material taken into account, the study compart performance and reports the parameters influence on thermal and sound insulation materials (density, thermal conductivity and sound absorption coefficient).
