Abstract:

In recent years, Distributed Generation (DG) has been utilized in electric power networks increasingly. Distributed generations (DGs) have significant benefits in the electric power industry, such as a reduction in CO2 and NOX emissions in electricity generation, improvement of voltage profile in distribution feeders, amending voltage stability in heavy load levels, enhancement of reliability and power quality, as well as securing the power market. This paper proposes a novel comprehensive eco-technical method for planning DG units which considers both the Distribution Company’s (DisCo) and the DG Owner’s (DGO) profits simultaneously. In this regard, the Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA-II) is employed to simulate case study on the IEEE 33-bus distribution test
