Abstract:

Given the increasing competition among organizations for gaining higher profit, increasing efficiency with the help of modern knowledge for example in the field of software seems very important. The software of enterprise resource planning (ERP) is one of these impressive technologies in the world that in Iran also has been used during recent years in some industries. The main purpose of this study is to evaluate organizational readiness in order to implement ERP in Iranian banking industry; and to achieve the aim of the research, organizational readiness assessment model of implementation of enterprise resource planning system based on Mackenzie 7s model has been used that by adding two other factors has been presented as 9s model. Since the organizational dimensions must be well known so that the strengths and weaknesses of the organization will be revealed, thus this model was used in order to include the dimensions of strategy, structure, system, skill, management style, personnel, shared values, self-assessment and protective factors. The research method has been based on questionnaires from experts in Tejarat Bank that analysis of the collected data with the help of Microsoft Excel software led to the result that other than supporting factors and system, other aspects have readiness less than average, and generally Tejarat Bank has not shown much organizational readiness for ERP implementation
