Buckling analysis of an orthotropic porous circular plate resting on an elastic foundation in Thermal Environment abstract

In the present investigation, buckling analysis of orthotropicporous circular plate with simply supported edge underradial uniform compressive load and thermal environment isstudied. The plate is resting on Winkler-type foundation andClassical Plate Theory (CPT) with approximate solution byRayleigh-Ritz method is employed and obtained criticalbuckling load of porous circular plate. The variationalapproch is used to derive the governing differentialequations of the plate. Mechanical properties of the porousmaterial are varied continuously through the thickness ofthe plate. The obtained results for porous plates arecompared with some available in literature as homogeneousand porous circular plates with other conditions.
