Abstract:

In this paper a model is presented for optimal energy management in a residential energy hub. In this model demand response program is considered and the aim is minimizing consumers costs for energy consumption. The energyhub consists of photovoltaic unit, heat and electric energy storage system, combined heat and power (CHP) generator and electric heat pump (EHP) unit. In the proposed model, power exchangedbetween all hub units will be scheduled for a 24-hour time interval and the energy consumption of controllable loads will be managed. Final model contains two operation modes. In first mode, the CHP unit supplies heat loads and in second one, EHP unit provides heat requirement. In all modes, the demand response program will be performed. Simulation results show the impact of each mode on the cost of residential energy hub.
