Design an Event-Based Controller with Adaptive approach

This paper proposes a combination method to achieve the advantages of Event-Based and adaptive control. Event-Based control is a way to reduce the communication load in control systems. Adaptive control is a well known strategy to control the systems which have nonlinearity and uncertainty. This paper introduces a new structure of model reference adaptive control (MRAC) which is equipped by an Event-Based triggering mechanism. This idea is evaluated by comparing the results of the classical MRAC and proposed method. The advantages and disadvantages of this approach are shown by an example.
