Abstract:

Agility is the set of capabilities and competencies that an organization needs to thrive and prosper in a continuously changing and unpredictable budiness environment . This paper based upon our studies in Irans Televison Manufacturing industry, presents a model for organizational agility and then suggests a knowledge - based methodology for measuring agility. For being agile , every organization needs a number of capabilities (e.g. responsiveness and flexibility) and competencies (e.g. knowledge management ), these capabilities and competencies are broken into some dimensions adn finally the resulting dimensions to some indices. For measuring agility we use "IF {Fuzzy antecedents}THEN{Fuzzy consequent}"rules. This system uses expert knowledge and includes implementation of fuzzy logic methods and terminology.
